The edgy and aggressive looking TVS Apache RTR 200 4v which is the most refined series of Apache has arrived in Nepal and is officially launched and been in the market for the sales.
TVS has given so much variant in RTR 200 like Carburetor/Fuel Injection, Pirelli/TVS Remora Tyre and Standard braking/ABS. In the context of fueling in Nepal and with the gold like the value of TVS spares, I would better choose Carburetor but the Fuel Injection variant would have been much more linear. We would surely like to see all variants and it would be much better choice for the riders who want more dynamics.
Price Update : NRs 2,83,000
Well to know more about TVS Apache RTR 200. It is very close to the Draken concept that TVS has previously shown in 2015. The all new digital instrument console, seat design, DRLs headlights, tank couch, offset layout tank cover and alloys are pretty much based on Draken concept. While the bike offers 198 cc, oil cooled, single cylinder and 4 valve motor with a pretty good torque of 18.1 Nm in 7000 RPM and 20.5 Ps at 8500 RPM in Carburettor version. Apache gives only 5-speed transmission for better acceleration in every gear rather than chasing better top end. However, for me, the best part would be the double barrel exhaust with that throaty note. The braking of Apache has made better with petal disc brake on both ends and ABS as an option as well.
On the other hand comparing the bike with its Apache siblings, it comes with the mono-shock suspension on rear and beefier telescopic forks at the front with clip-on handle bars for a better stability and riding comfort in city or highway. Though I would have preferred single handle bar that allows much more confidence in the twist and turns on a street bike like this one. With all this specification the bike weighs 148 kg kerb and gives 127 Kmph at the high end on the paper, off course. Well TVS has high hopes with this machine and is obviously good in reviews and I myself can’t wait to twist the throttle of this machine.
